For those that aren’t looking to add a Flarespace modification for the rear of their van conversion, the Ram ProMaster may be the best choice, as it’s just about wide enough for a regular mattress to be mounted sideways.

The Ram ProMaster’s parts and service are more readily available than for Sprinter Vans. It’s available in low and high top styles, however the high top is a little lower than the other makes, and so can be perfect for those with less than 6 feet of height, or for whom full standing space isn’t a requirement.
